Chicago is definitely one of my favorite places to visit!

On my most recent visit to see Heidi and Baby Johnny, we were able to visit a few favorites!

This isn't on the menu at hopdoddy, but bartender Stacia was amazing to make this "dessert" for a friend's birthday.

It's a hd bun, milkshake ice cream, chocolate and raspberry sauce and topped with whipped cream.

We weren't sure how it was going to taste, but it was really yummy. The buns at hd are kind of sweet, so it complimented the sweet items perfectly.

so I'm in Chicago (Aurora) to be exact, for my yearly visit to Heidi and John.

I've been here 3-4 times, in the summer and in the winter.

Heidi and I most definitely make a stop at Oberweis for ice cream yummers.

Yesterday's trip included a Hot Fudge Peppermint Brownie Sundae (which we shared).

It was sooooo good. And baby Trae (Heidi's due in March) most definitely enjoyed it as well.

as always, it's been way too long since my last post. i must learn to be better. and i have tons of food pics, but don't feel like sifting through them. some day.

i'm officially on summer break. yay! excited about upcoming trips to NYC (lots of food pics always) and philly. and just good times in austin.
